HEY! It's Kate.

Anybody out there want to help me? I'm writing a story and I need some inspiration... for names.
I need a name for a princess, a prince, and two kingdoms. Yes. It does take place in medieval times (sorta). The princess is in a situation where she is trying to get away from a lonely, depressing life in her castle. I don't want to say too much about her because I don't want to spoil the first couple of chapters because I'm putting this on my Story page called Kate's Stories (click on the name to see the page). Anyway, I need a name for her and her kingdom. I really don't think Anastasia will fit her character and Mary is too common. The prince is kind, loving, caring, and teaches the Princess different things that makes her life better. Yet he has the same pursuit as the princess. SPOILER ALERT: He saves her! I'm not telling you how, but if you want to know, it will probably be in chapters 5 or 6. So when I put it on the page (if i ever do), look for those chapters. They also fall in love. So I need names for the prince and his kingdom (there are 2 kingdoms, one is the princess's and the other is the prince's). I also would like to have some medieval terms and their definitions for things like dresses, the prince's clothes, a store, a carriage, and a 5 story inn or something like that. I really don't like links that much unless they are really good links to helpful sites. Thanks! Please comment. And see my page,  Kate's Page!     See, that's a really good link. LOL! :-D

Oh and if you leave an answer, please tell me what the meanings of the names are.
Click Read More to see some of the qualities of the characters. ---->
Hope this helps!!

And like I said, the prince teaches the princess some of these qualities:

Qualities of the Main Characters

Princess

  • Beautiful
  • Kind
  • Courageous
  • Slightly shy
  • Easily depressed
  • Determined
  • Dainty
  • Well mannered
  • Smart
  • Musical

Prince

  • Handsome
  • Kind
  • Caring
  • Teacher-like
  • Outgoing
  • Brave
  • Strong
  • Smart
  • Happy
  • Playful
  • Friendly
  • Musical
  • Well mannered
  • Loving
  • Determined
  • Heroic
I've learned that writing out and thinking of the qualities of your characters helps you get closer to them. That's how I felt when I was writing these down. Getting closer to your characters helps make your story or book better because you twist things to fit their character, and usually your character doesn't change unless you want it to, so readers won't get confused about the feelings of the character. It also helps people help you find names for your characters if your having trouble finding names yourself (LOL. That's why I did it!). That's just a little note to all you writers out there that would like to be a little better.
